Data Subject Deletion Request

  • You may request for MIE to remove any personal information it has on you.
  • You can make your request by calling MIE on 012 6444 000 or emailing informationofficer@mie.co.za and using Subject: Data subject deletion request.
  • You will be required to provide proof of identify and complete the Data Subject Deletion form
  • Once all relevant documentation has been received, MIE will process an ID Verification with Photo verification to validate the Data Subject information provided.
  • On the outcome of a Positive ID Verification with Photo, your request for deletion of personal information will be investigated.
  • Personal information retained by MIE is in line with legislated retention periods and should the request for deletion be within this legislated period, the personal information will not be removed.
  • An outcome of the request will be communicated to the Data Subject via email.
