MIE verifies the workplace references of individuals. References fall into three distinct categories.

Confirmation of Employment

Employment confirmation checks test the following items:

• Employer Name
• Referee Name
• Dates of employment
• Last position held
• Reason for leaving

Standard Employment Reference

Standard reference checks test Confirmation of Employment and the following items:

• Relationship with Managers, Coworkers, Subordinates, and Personel
• Referee Position
• Strengths
• Areas for Development
• Responsibilities
• Performance
• Conditions for re-employment, if any
• Recommendations, if any

Executive Employment Reference

Standard reference checks test a Standard Employment Reference and a detailed set of criteria, including 18 additional competencies, that are typically compiled together with the client before the process is initiated. This is a fully comprehensive reference test.
