The app - dubbed MIE Touch - is available on Android and Apple smart phones and tablets. A Windows 8 version is in the pipeline and will be available soon.
The free app was designed and developed for employers, HR managers and recruiters who are constantly on the go and require real-time updates regarding background screening requests. The app saves them the hassle and inconvenience of having to carry a laptop, go online and download e-mails or login and navigate the website.
MIE`s CEO, Ina van der Merwe, says MIETouch gives users the edge in a highly competitive industry."The app is like background screening on fast forward. Quick answers enable quick decision-making, which has a wide range of benefits for everyone involved in the recruitment cycle, including better flexibility, improved service levels, increased capacity and reduced risk."
Asa matter of course, all background screening requests are uploaded on MIE`s website and verification results are e-mailed. Very simply, MIETouch closes the gap and links the two ends by giving users the opportunity to:
- Search for requests that have been uploaded,
- View the details, results and/or statuses of requests that are being processed,
- Ask for verification results to be e-mailed to a mobile device,
- Check any outstanding information requests,
- Receive notifications, and
- Read messages from MIE.
The above can be done anytime, anywhere. The only requirements are a compatible mobile device and Internet connectivity.
